HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MEHER BABA

"Love is essentially self-communicative; those who do not have it catch it from those who have it. Those who receive love from others cannot be its recipients without giving a response which, in itself, is the nature of love. True love is unconquerable and irresistible. It goes on gathering power and spreading itself until eventually it transforms everyone it touches."

  1. True love is unconquerable, irresistible, and transformative. Not much one can add to that except an enthusiastic "Amen."

  2. Glad the quote resonated with you, David. It's one that I've come back to again and again in my life.

  3. I am considering becoming, in a sense, a devotee of Meher Baba.

I wonder how to go about this.

Meher Baba says "Don't worry be happy".

I still worry quite a bit!

I followed you because I enjoyed the comic book "Mercy".

    Thank you very much.

    Happy Birthday Meher Baba!

My birthday also just passed this March :)

  4. Well, then, happy birthday to you, Novalis.

Keeping in mind that I can only speak for myself: There's no special way to to "go about this" where Meher Baba is concerned. No prescribed path or ritual. No uniform to wear, mantras to chant, or compulsory meetings to attend. For me, it's all been about an INNER CONNECTION. Despite the fact that he died in 1969, I've found Meher Baba to be a vital living presence in my life, one that I can turn and and -- via my intuition, the inner voice -- get answers from. If you have interest in MB, then that's the route I would suggest: just you and Meher Baba, conversing in your heart.

If you live in the U.S., I'd also suggest a trip to the Meher Spiritual Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: a beautiful 500 acre retreat that is radiant with Meher Baba's presence. And, if you're a world traveler, there is, of course, MB's extraordinarily powerful Tomb-Shrine in India.

But, really, in the end, it's that inner connection, that personal connection that matters. So if you're interested in Meher Baba, talk to him HIM about it. If you get an answer, that's great. And if you don't...well, that's an answer in itself, isn't it?

Good luck to you on your quest, Novalis, wherever it takes you.

  5. Thank you for introducing me to Meher Baba through SEEKERS INTO THE MYSTERY. I read and re-read the series for years, then gave it away to a friend who needed it. Now I'm buying up all the copies I can find to give away to friends. You did such an incredible job of making Truth clear and entertaining; I know your work will comfort and enlighten everyone with whom I share SEEKERS. _/|\_

  6. If I opened your mind and heart to Meher Baba in any small way, Clayton, I'm incredibly grateful. In the end, it's all His doing!

Also very glad you hold a place in your heart for SEEKERS: it's a project that's (obviously) near and dear to my heart, as well. Boom Studios has collected the first five issues in a tpb; I'm hoping that, eventually, they'll collect the rest of the series.

    All the best -- JMD
