Here are a couple of new teaser clips from Superman: Red Son. The movie— produced by Bruce Timm and Jim Krieg, directed by Sam Liu, and written by yours truly—is available now on digital, coming to Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD on March 17th. (New York premiere will be at the Director's Guild on March 16th.)
Enjoy!
Just out of curiosity, how much of an adaption is this?
ReplyDeleteThere have been some DC Animated filmed where it is such a close adaption that there isn't much of a reason ton watch if you have read the comic.
In guess the question is, are there some elements unique to the movie... aside from movement?
I've red the comic, so... you know.

It is very much an adaptation, staying true to the essence (and, in many cases, the details) of Mark Millar's story, while rebuilding it in other ways. I think you'll find enough different, in both plot and character, to make it worth your time.
DeleteI recently read the comic and I can see why this adaptation would be right up your alley. It has a similar quality to SPEEDING BULLETS, in that Superman's inherent decency breaks through regardless of his circumstances--but of course, the ways in which it manifests are very different in RED SON.
ReplyDeleteAt any rate, I very much look forward to watching this!
