DeMULTISIGNING!

Big news! DeMultiverse Phase II books are back from the printer and, yesterday, Spellbound Comics head honcho David Baldy arrived at my door with boxes (and boxes and boxes) of comics for me to sign.

I spent the afternoon leaving my signature on hundreds of books for our amazing Kickstarter supporters and, soon enough, David will be shipping these out. Hope everyone enjoys Phase II: Can't wait to get started on Phase III! (In case you're wondering, the gorgeous cover of our collected edition is by the great Liam Sharp.)

  1. Hi I just wanted to say I love your including the not enough praised Abadazad series that is so filled with creativity like no other. I read them when i was only 7 years old, im 25 now. I am very saddened that we never got to have the Fourth and fift chapter. This is probably a big no but is there any hopes in the future for this saga that you may be able to share. I can imagine people getting interested now a day's. Either way I'm so happy for the work you done outside of that too. Never change. Hope also to see you more on Instagram, thanks for everything

    1. Thanks so much for your kind words. ABADAZAD remains near and dear to my heart, one of my absolute favorite projects. We've tried, several times, to get the rights back from Disney, but, so far, we've hit brick wall after brick wall. I never give up hope, though. Maybe Queen Ija can help.

Perhaps one day I'll post sections of the fourth, unpublished, book here at Creation Point.

Thanks again for the kind words. Really appreciate it.

  2. I am sure you get this a lot, but…

You are Italian, so I have to ask, what is the story with vampires in Italy?
The country is full of churches and religious sites, there is even a massive religious tourism trade, so wouldn’t that be a problem for vampires?
There is also a lot of garlic in Italian food. Don’t get me wrong, I love garlic, but wouldn’t that make vampires apprehensive as well? The smells always coming from cooking. There are even a lot of street markets that sell things like garlic in the street.

How do vampires operate in Italy? Or did Italian immigrants just come to America and were completely shocked to find vampires?

For that matter, you also claim to be a knowledgeable of Russia, so was the Soviet Union just full of vampires? Was that the real reason for the oppressive government, to strangle out vampires? Was that the reason for the closed media, to keep the rest of the world guessing?

After all, Russian food can be bland, and has almost not garlic, and the Soviet Union was notoriously atheistic, removing many religious symbols. Seems like it would be inviting vampires in.

Or was communism just a smokescreen, when in reality it was just vampires running the country? It would make sense for vampires to no respect human rights.

Is that why there was such a massive return to the orthodox religion after the fall of the ASC piers, to ward the vampires off?

It, was turning the state into a type of religion a way to ward off vampires. I remember Marv Wolfman writing that a Star of David could repell Dracula, it was just less strong because Dracula himself never prayed to it. So would the Soviet state government make almost everything a pushback against vampires?

Are Italy and Russia similar or complete opposite in their roll in fighting vampires?

Thank you for your time, I know you are probably sick of answering this question.

    1. You clearly have too much time on your hands today, Jack. That said, this reminds me that, in my GREEBERG THE VAMPIRE stories, the Star of David was a pretty potent weapon against vampires. Which was a problem for Oscar, since he was Jewish.

    2. There is also an elseworlds Batman comic where he teams up with Houdini to fight a vampire preying on a Jewish community in Gotham. I read it years ago, but the thing I remember most is that at the end Batman is curious about how Houdini beat the vampire, to which Harry takes out a Star of David.

Also, I thought about this last night, not this morning.
