IT'S JOHN LENNON'S BIRTHDAY

Let's celebrate with one of his greatest songs, performed live for a global audience in 1967.  The message remains timeless and true.

  1. Speaking of ol' john-boy... is it just me, or is this a totalitarian system worth seeing:

    1. That first link didn't work, Jack, but, man, that stamp is WONDRFUL. "Imagine no Fredonia..." Or something like that.

    2. there is apparently a book, that I haven't read, that compares the two's sayings that are apparently very similar. I don't know what to tell you though, the link just worked when I tried it off of this site.

But no, I will never imagine no fredonia... Lennon's just lucky he didn't but that in, or else I assume once again people would have been burning his records.

wishing you nothing but goodwill and hipness from here to the stars,
      Jac.

    3. Tried the link again, Jack, and it worked. Reminds me of this old Firesign Theater album cover:

You're right, a world without Fredonia would be a sad one indeed!

  2. Thanks J.M. I still cannot believe that lots of great artists were killed by fans. The list is sadly huge.

    1. All these years later, Daniel, Lennon's death still saddens me. And I suppose that's how it should be. But his life remains an amazing one and his music will inspire for years and years to come.
