Another podcast interview—this time with Dan Kelley of the Code-X Comic Station podcast. Some familiar tales (Kraven, JLI), some new ground (the birth of Vertigo, The Spectre) and more. You can listen below. Enjoy!
It would be nice if someone care about Weird War Tales, and its infinite glory BEFORE a movie was announced. But I suppose not everyone is as enlightened to the magnificence of DC's Bronze Age Anthologies as me.
However, I can't help but notice you left a major part of the story out. How Creature Commandos was really just you taking Marv Wolfman's father's war stories, changing a few names to keep them safe.
Of course when Wolfman came at you fuming, you pointed out how unfair it was that when he wrote Tomb of Dracula he got inside info with just a phone call, after all Dracula's daughter was his babysitter as a child. Hardly fair when pitching for the book.
I am not looking forward to the lawsuit when Wolfman comes looking to get his families share of the profits.
