POST-GALACTIC

A great weekend at Galaxycon Raleigh—meeting heartfelt fans, seeing old friends (like Bob Budiansky, Ralph Macchio (the editor, not the Karate Kid), Ron Marz and more) and, best of all, hanging out with my beautiful daughter (and brilliant booth assistant), Katie.

Next up, in September: DragonCon and FanX Salt Lake.  There might be one more convention later in the year, but that's still up in the air.

  1. It was a truly a great pleasure to meet you, the one and only J.M. DeMatteis, and your lovely daughter at GalaxyCon on Sunday. I was one of the twenty or so people that showed up for your panel that morning and it was best wrong turn I've ever made. Joking aside, it was a great panel as were the other panels that you participated in. Afterwards, when I finally managed to track down your booth, you were generous enough to talk with me and answer my questions, both of the times that I swung by. The words of wisdom and encouragement that you gave me truly meant, and continue to mean, a lot to me. So, thank you again for taking the time out of your schedule to make an appearance here in Raleigh and I hope to meet you again in the future at another convention or some other place so that I can pester you with more of my questions. Maybe with the help of your wonderful words of wisdom and a lot of hard work, we might bump into each other in a more professional capacity down the road. One can hope.

    Best wishes and godspeed,
    Anthony B.
