BATMAN-GERBER DAY!

Happy Batman Day to all who celebrate! My first Batman story was (no kidding!) a coloring book. My most recent work is an episode of Amazon Prime's Caped Crusader for the upcoming second season. And I look forward to more adventures with the Dark Knight in the future. (If you want to take a deep dive into my history with Bruce Wayne, read this.)

And while I have your attention: Let's also celebrate the birthday of the great Steve Gerber. As I've said here before, I wouldn't be the writer I am today if I'd never encountered Gerber's work. Every Gerber story I read was evidence that mainstream comics could be so much more than I’d ever imagined. That there was no creative door that couldn’t be kicked in, no creative wall that couldn’t be torn down. His voice is sorely missed.
