RETURN OF THE CAPED CRUSADER
Looks like the premiere date for Season Two of Batman: Caped Crusader has finally been announced. Happy to have contributed to the new season. (And, no, I can't reveal what my episode is about.)

John, hello. I wanted to express a wish I have for you: my dream is to see what you would do when writing or detailing the origin of Agamotto. The whole premise of Agamotto being a child adopted by Otshur, abandoned by his divine mother, which led him to seek knowledge in magic to find her, has BRILLIANT potential. I can't imagine a better person to write a graphic novel of this story than you. I imagine the impact, in a good way, your writing would have. For me, you were born for Doctor Strange.
ReplyDeleteNobody understands the character and his lore and mystical system better than you. I'll never forget the first comic you wrote about him, where Stephen recalls an adventure with Clea against Tiboro and delivers a monologue about his inner loneliness. You were brilliant, and that's when I understood you were the right writer for Doctor Strange. I know you're busy at Marvel with the comic based on the old Spider-Man animated series, but I still dream of you writing Stephen Strange. I confess that current comics featuring him and other mystical heroes are empty. They only focus on tired dilemmas or futile power struggles. You didn't focus on that. You gave meaning to everything. You are my idol, John. I am grateful for your existence.

DeleteExcuse me for bothering you, but as I mentioned above, what would your approach be to the origin of Agamotto and his rise to godhood during his search for his mother? I've always wanted to know your vision and how you would write a story about it. — Jhoney.
DeleteI'm unfamiliar with the Agamotto mythology, so I don't have an approach. If I ever end up writing Strange again, it would certainly be worth reading up on.
