RETRO

Here's an interesting (well, I hope it's interesting!) chat I had with The Retro Project podcast.  It's a very different kind of interview and I suspect you'll enjoy it.

  1. I recognize this interviewer's voice. I remember a few previous interviews you've posted with him. He does a nice job. A few things:

    1) I have no middle name. It's not really something done in the Greek culture....but my parents didn't know what the "Middle Initial" spot in the birth certificate form was for when I was born in the United States. Instead of leaving it blank, they put "S" because it was my father's first initial. So I have a middle initial which stands for nothing. Not as odd as not finding out what your first name truly was until you were in sixth grade, but I think lots of folks can relate to that story.

    2) The interviewer says that he was 6 when Lennon was murdered. I was 6 as well. I was in first grade and I remember very vividly sharing the news story with the class, which sparked a discussion. The Beatles were big in my home. I had an older brother and sister who were 7 & 8 years older than me respectively, so we played a lot of Beatles. What a sad day.

    3) I always thought of you as Italian. I think it was because of your last name.

    4) I enjoy your music as well. I particularly like the track "Diane". It's my wife's name as well.

Thanks for posting...can't wait for "The Girl in the Bay".

    1. Glad you enjoyed the interview, George. I'll put part two up when it's posted.

And thanks for sharing your tale of the middle initial. We've all got our stories, don't we?

Hope you enjoy THE GIRL IN THE BAY!
