PROCESS
Some folks don't understand how the plot-first (or so-called Marvel style) of writing comics works, so I thought I'd share a page from a plot for the 2022 Ben Reilly: Spider-Man series. This went out to the artist, David Baldeon, and I wrote the final captions/dialogue after I saw the art.

Thanks for the insight JMD, I've been plotting out comics for the last two and a half years and it's always interesting to see how plot-driven layouts function and the level of understanding and co-operation between writer and artist.
ReplyDeleteIt all comes down to that magic chemistry between writer and artist. It's either there or it's not. You can't create it!
