ONCE MORE INTO THE MYSTERY

I had a great conversation last night with the fine folks at the We Talk Comics podcast.  We discussed my new Augusta Wind series, the upcoming collected editions of The Last One and Seekers Into The Mystery, looked back at projects like Moonshadow and Blood and discussed the nature of Life, The Universe and Everything.  You can listen to the entire conversation right here.  Hope you enjoy it!

  1. I'm really glad both of those series are getting collected. They are both so very good! Looking forward to listening to the interview this weekend. Have a day blessed by the compassionate laughter of the Universe, Mr. DeMatteis!

    1. "A day blessed by the compassionate laughter of the universe." I like that, Mike, and I thank you for it. Thanks, too, for the kind words re: SEEKERS and THE LAST ONE. I'm thrilled that they're both coming back.

  2. Wow. Dover seems really committed to keeping alive comics other publishers don't have the imagination to even consider. Looking forward to Seekers!

  3. Maybe if we keep chanting DR. FATE! DR. FATE! DR. FATE! Then the elusive omnibus will also arrive.

    1. Okay, all together now: "DR. FATE...DR. FATE...DR. FATE..." Is it working yet?

  4. Dematteis-

Read Scooby Doo Apple Jacks... or whatever.

Point is, I liked it. My favorite part? Well, that's a personal question and I'm not sure you should be so cavalier in asking, but... the words. There were lots and lots of words. In a medium you read, that's a good thing.

There were so many words I almost didn't grumble about the book being a buck more than every other DC book out that week. But, I am a comic fan, so I powered through and complained a bit anyway. Don't worry.

    1. Unfortunately, Jack, I have no control over the price! That said, very glad you enjoyed SCOOBY. Some fun stuff ahead!

And, yes, lots and lots of words!

    2. Like I said, I almost didn't complain about the price, but I soldiered through and grumbled anyway. I'm practically hero.

    3. Don't worry, you don't have to thank me for complaining, IO was just being a good comic fan. It's what we do. It was hard this time, but I made the sacrifice.

      Your welcome, citizen.
